An Invitation to the 4th concert of our 103rd season
Concert Sponsor: The Jackman Foundation
In May the Bach Elgar Choir's season concludes with one of the masterpieces in the choral literature - CREATION by Franz Joseph Haydn, the greatest work of his musical life.
The first public performance of this work was given in Vienna, March 19, 1799. Its success was immediate, and rivalled that of Handel's "Messiah".
The Bach Elgar Choir will be accompanied by the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra and three outstanding soloists, all under the inspired direction of our director Howard Dyck.
